About our XC Ski Trails

This system comprises about 28 km of trails through woodland just to the north-east of Clearwater.

The trails are found by going north on Highway 5 about 2 km past the Info Centre or Dairy Queen, then turn left onto Candle Creek Road. Follow this up for 2 km and turn right on Barber Road. The parking-lot is right at the end of Barber Road. If the snow has not been cleared all the way to the parking lot, park in the cul-de-sac and ski the rest of the way.

The club has built a very warm and comfortable chalet just above the parking-lot, which is open for the use of members and visitors during the ski season.

Visitors are always very welcome. There is a nominal fee for trail-use of $10 per visit which goes towards our grooming costs, payable at the ‘honour-boxes’ at the trailhead. Consider becoming a member to have unlimited trail access.

Dogs are allowed on designated ski/snow shoe trails (see map). Dogs must be on leashes in parking lot and under control on trails. Remove all poop on trails and parking area. No dogs allowed at the warming hut or on trails during events.

See below for a ski trail map or view this Geo-referenced trail map – Download this version if you have Avenza or similar PDF/GPS Apps on your mobile device. You can then track where you are on the map in real time.
