Wells Gray Outdoors Club AGM October 9, 2018 Start: 7:02pm

President’s Report:
Club President David Poole thanked everyone for attending, and reported on the past year: The ski season started late but we had snow over the Xmas holidays and the snow stayed until the end of March. There was a short period when there were people skiing and biking at the same time.
The Community Forest finished the new Bend connector to the Elevator trail and the new section looks good, it also detoured around a very steep hill.
The Club held many successful events; Snocial, Broads on Boards, Moonlight Ski, Birchleg and the Banff Mt. Film Festival
The Club also continued to offer Rabbits Ski lessons for children which is well attended.
We installed new mouse proof storage in the Quonset Hut
Updates to the Solar System have improved the system and a new battery was purchased. The Snowcat hydraulics where repaired, thank to Bob Dhillon
The Club provided Grooming of the field beside Raft River School
The Club added a significant amount of Mt. Bike trails this summer
Very Big Thank You to all the Volunteers
Treasurer’s Report:
The Financial Statements for the fiscal Yr ending August 31, 2018 were presented.
The Club’s ending cash total was: $41,358
Grant Proceeds: $59,000
Ski Memberships: $9,312
MT bike trail fees and sponsorships: $2,012
Event net Income: $3,513
Investment is Mt Biking trails: $79,235
The Club is in a good financial position going into the current year. All grants applied for the Mt. Bike trails have been received and spent. There is still approx. $3,000 yet to come from the community forest for the new storage and bins
Christine Graham motioned that the Financial Statements be entered into the Club records 2nd Rick Passed
Mountain Bike Trails Report:
Ove the past 3 years we have built 17.2km of bike trials at a cost of $235,000
30% Green level trails 55% Blue level and 15% Black
The overall goal is to build approx. 30k of trails
Next year’s goal is to build along the Raft Canyon rim
It was suggested that we transfer some of the bike trails over to the winter map for snow shoeing
